All I really wanted for Valentine’s was a trip to Dallas area with just the three of us! So away we went for our first solo overnight trip since the baby was born last year. 😀 We brought our little lady along with us to eat at Brio Italian Grille, shop at Market Street for snacks, and stay in our favorite area: Watters Creek in nearby Allen, Texas.
Since we wanted to stay close by the newer shopping areas, we chose to stay at the Marriott Dallas/Allen. It was unusually quiet because it was also the evening of the Super Bowl. Perfect for us!
We had very little interaction inside the hotel thanks to a convenient attached parking garage but it was beautiful, clean, and the customer service agent was kind. We really enjoyed it, and Noelle’s Dock-A-Tot made traveling with a baby so easy! If you have a baby, I think this is one of the best ways to let them sleep in a familiar environment when you’re away from home.
The next morning we stayed in bed as late as possible, then headed out to Madewell in Legacy West (Plano), and I tell you it was the most exciting Madewell store I’ve ever been to. It was enormous compared to the other one I visited in the mall! 😀
Before we headed back, we had to make a stop at our favorite pizza place: 5th Street Pizza in Allen! I ordered enough food for six people, so my husband was extremely happy. They have an amazing buffalo chicken pizza. We talked to the owner once before and found out he actually orders the buffalo sauce from New York. It is incredible- a must-try if you like that style!
From shopping to snacking to staying in bed, we had the best time! It was the best Valentine’s weekend a girl could ask for. 🙂
