I had heard great things about these styling brushes, so when I spotted this Revlon hair dryer brush at the store (similar), I grabbed it SO quickly. Turns out that the internet was right: they are so nice to use!
The reason I prefer it to the hair dryer is that it smooths the hair better than a standard separate brush and hair dryer. Here’s the before:
To use it, I find it best to pick the hair up underneath it like you would a roller brush, then pull slowly in a circular motion away from the head.
And here’s the after (about 15ish minutes later):
I think the drying brush makes the hair shinier and smoother, even until the next washing. You could easily skip straightening to smooth the hair if you usually do that!
If you’re considering one of these brushes, the pros would be smooth, shiny, hair, the ability to curl the ends better, and the potential for time-saving as it would reduce steps to getting ready if you need to straighten/smooth your hair. The cons would be that it is higher-pitched than a hair dryer and it seems louder (which my husband dislikes), and that it takes longer to dry their hair than it does the high-end hair dryer we have. With all of those things in consideration, I prefer using it to our hair dryer because it makes their beautiful hair look even prettier! 🙂 Here’s a link to a similar one at Amazon.
