a failed birthday trip + this pregnant (39 weeks)

We had a small opening between commitments this week, so we went to the metroplex for a birthday night away. It started with our favorite restaurant:

And ended a few hours after… 😢

I didn’t feel very well at all, I felt like I was sick with the flu, I was so tired. Maybe it was the food, maybe it was the lack of a nap, but all I wanted to do was go home.

So we drove two hours back home. It made me so sad, but I had zero energy and finding and staying in a hotel at that point of misery sounded like torture.

It could be because I’m this pregnant:

One good thing was I didn’t have to spend my first night away from this baby! She came in the bathroom this morning with goggles and a coat on:

And I had a doctors appointment today. I still am not feeling normally- I feel like I’m going stir crazy in my body at this point! But all is well, just waiting on baby to arrive:

And in other good news, our Prime day vacuum arrived! We picked the Bissell Cleanview Rewind, and I’m in love with it! This thing vacuumed half the rug up, it worked so well! 🙂
