Green Apple Salsa
A salty, sweet, and savory version of pico de gallo that every kid in our house loves. It pairs extremely well with grilled chicken, tortilla chips, or even just an empty spoon.
Prep Time 20 minutes mins
- 4 Granny Smith green apples
- 1/2 cup lime juice (fresh is best)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 sweet/mild yellow onion (red onion for hotter salsa)
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 bunch cilantro
Chop apples and onion into small pieces and mix together in a medium-sized serving bowl.
Finely chop cilantro leaves, then add to apples and onion mixture.
Stir in lime juice, honey, and salt, mixing well.
Refrigerate salsa for 1-2 hours before serving for best flavor.
